In 2006, Jeffrey Weissman and co-artistic director, Gary Grossman (MFA), relaunches the Wine Country Theater, founded by long time Mountain Play producer Marilyn Smith, who thinks they're the right folks to breathe new life into her baby.

Collaborators Lee Eisler (MFA), Mary Leah Taylor and a corps of local talent dedicate themselves to celebrating and creating extraordinary wine culture theatrical events.

Wine Country Theater makes use of the huge range of interdisciplinary elements - including theater, dance, music, vaudeville, Commedia, physical expression and spoken word - that these experienced professionals bring to WCT's productions.

Imagine: sipping wine in the beauty of the California wine country while a theatrical spectacle comes to life around you! The shows utilize rich imagery and ritual inspired by the character of wine.

Offering their talents to wineries and wine country venues, WCT produces shows for stage, events and environments, including:

• Theme-specific original vignettes.
  
• Environmental theatrical characters to enhance wine dinners and tasting
  

WCT offers outreach training, and productions to schools, teen centers, retirement communities, community centers, cultural events and hospitals.
